First Baptist Church Tech Connect is introducing one way to connect to the community through technology. We are planning to launch the computer ministry, Tech Connect, this summer. We have several goals that we are striving for within this ministry:

Our first goal is to reach out to the people needing computer skills to advance within the workforce, whether it is to add to their resume or to promote within their current career. They would be able to gain a computer certification after taking a series of classes and passing a test.

The second goal is to offer classes to people that are interested in advancing their computer skills, but are not necessarily in need of a certification. These individuals can join us for classes to learn more about computer fundamentals and the Office products.

There is also an opportunity for people to help teach classes as well. We are anticipating a large response and could use some help teaching. If this interests you, please let me know on the form what you would like to teach.

There will be forms available in the office and on our website if you are interested or know someone that may be in need of these classes. Please fill them out and return them as soon as possible to the office. After we have a chance to review the forms, we will determine what classes need to be offered and set a schedule for the summer.

If you would like to donate funds for the purchasing of the needed computers for this ministry, please let us know as soon as possible. We hope to launch our first class within the next few weeks. I look forward to serving our Church and the community through this new ministry.
