First Baptist Fairfield exists to make disciples. There is no greater calling than to go into all the world “making disciples.” At First Baptist, we believe that when a local church makes a commitment to true discipleship, programs, ministries, missions, and worship services will look different. There will be greater ownership to that which the Church is striving for, because the Church is more than simply a “local ministry.” The local church is a small part of the greater Church that exists in many states, nations, and cultures. We believe the ultimate goal of the church is not numbers, strategies, organizations, or buildings. These are but tools to the ultimate goal of making disciples. There are many “discipling” relationships taking place throughout our church family, and even throughout our city. While this portion of our ministry strategy is hard to measure with human eyes, we believe that if our “connect point” and “community point” are functioning according to the Heart of Christ, then the “one-on-one” discipleship will be a direct result. We celebrate this abundant life that the Lord Jesus has given.
